Q: Where does The Custom Shade ship?
A: We ship to all U.S. states EXCEPT Alaska, Hawaii, and Massachusetts. We do not ship outside the U.S.

Q: How hard is it to install my custom window coverings?
A: It’s easier than you may think. Check out how to install Battery Motor Shades, Cordless Roller Shades, Manual Clutch Roller Shades, Faux Wood Blinds, Honeycomb Shades, Manual Patio Shades, and Motorized Patio Shades.
Q: Can I return replacement parts?
A: Yes, you can return replacement parts if they are undamaged, in original condition up to 30 calendar days after the date of your purchase. Email order@thecustomshade.com with your order information to request a return.
Q: Can I return custom shades, blinds or patio shades?
A: Roller shades, blinds and patio shades purchased on our site are custom products created especially for you to the specifications you provided. As such they cannot be returned. However, if you make a measuring mistake and you let us know within 60 days of delivery we will remake up to 3 shades for you. See complete remake details.
Q: Is shipping cost refundable?
A: Unfortunately, shipping cost is non-refundable unless your order is cancelled before your order is shipped.
Q: Can I cancel my order?
A: Orders may be cancelled up to 24 ours from when they are placed. After 24 hours your order is already in our fulfillment process and cannot be cancelled. Details
Q: What if DIY is not for me? Do you offer measurement, design, and installation services?
A: Yes, we do offer a Full Service Buying Experience in some areas. Please submit our Free Consultation form with Innovative Openings so we can determine if you are in our service area.
Q: Do you offer other types of shades besides roller shades?
A: Yes! We now offer custom patio shades, custom faux wood blinds and honeycomb shades in addition to our roller shades.
Q: Can I purchase custom window coverings or my tax-exempt business?
A: If your business is tax-exempt, send us an email at hello@thecustomshade.com with a PDF copy of your Exemption Certificate. We will set up your account and confirm when your account is approved as tax-exempt to purchase roller shades.
